Doctors

Jayce Calhoon

DVM / Medical Director

Dr. Calhoon was born and raised in Oregon. After graduating from high school he received a swimming scholarship that brought him to the University of Wyoming where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal and Veterinary Science. While on the UW swimming and diving team he met his lovely wife Morgan and in 2012 they were fortunate enough to compete in the olympic trials together. Dr. Calhoon obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University.

Dr. Calhoon has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since he can remember and has special interests in surgery, preventative medicine, radiology, orthopedics and cardiology. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.

Dr. Calhoon's wife, Morgan, also graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education. Morgan was a schoolteacher for three years before the Calhoon family welcomed their sons, Nash and Bowen, into the world. In his free time Dr. Calhoon enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, golfing, or doing anything with his family. Their only pet is a cat named Luna. He is very excited to be back in Wyoming and being part of such a great team at Cheyenne Pet Clinic.

Jami Gerber

DVM

Dr. Gerber grew up on the Western Slope of Colorado and attended Colorado State University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences and Business Administration. She then went on to earn a master's degree in Microbiology. She has lived in Cheyenne for the past five years and graduated from Colorado State University with a doctorate in veterinary medicine in May 2021. Dr. Gerber's veterinary interests include preventative medicine, nutrition, and pain management.

In her free time. Dr. Gerber enjoys raising livestock with her husband, Levi, on their small farm and going on adventures with their daughter, Brynn.

Dr. Bunting

DVM

Dr. Bunting grew up an Alaskan sourdough in Homer, Alaska. He attended Colorado State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Zoology before continuing into the Veterinary College. He also obtained a master’s in wildlife Forensics and Conservation through the University of Florida.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Bunting enjoys preventative medicine, reptiles, pet birds, and wildlife. He is also fascinated with the care of less seen species including honeybees, fish, small rodents, and arachnids.
He spends his days off volunteering with non-profit groups as a veterinarian and as a water rescuer with Larimer County Dive Rescue team. In addition, he enjoys digging for fossils, birding, gardening, and repairing small engines.
Veterinary Technicians

Nicole Siskey

Practice Manager

Nicole has been a veterinary technician for 27 years. She graduated from St. Petersburg College in 2003 and became a Registered Veterinarian Technician. She recently completed her Certified Practice Manager course and became the Practice Manager. She has worked at Cheyenne Pet Clinic since 2008 when she moved from California with her two sons Jacob and Nickolas. She has one cat named Huck. Nicole enjoys running, hiking, paddleboarding and traveling in her spare time. She considers herself blessed to be doing a job that she truly loves and being a part of such an awesome clinic.

KC

Technician

KC stands for Kristine Cay. She has lived in Cheyenne since 2005 and has been a member of our work family for just as long. She has a hardworking husband, 4 kids, 1 dog, and 4 cats. She loves to spend time with her kids and be outside. KC loves working at the clinic to educate clients with their pets. She is currently working on becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Sonia

Technician

Sonia moved to Cheyenne in 1998. She was married in 2011 to Russell and they have 3 boys: Jordan, Casey, and Tristan. She has 3 dogs: Ewok, Sam, and Lucy. They also have a cat named Missy Mae. Her hobbies include cooking, yard work, and spending time with family.

Ashley

Technician

Ashley was born and raised in Cheyenne. She graduated with her Bachelor’s in Pre-Vet Medicine from the University of Wyoming in 2018. Ashley has 3 cats, Puss, Panther and Pebbles. She loves playing games and hanging out with friends and family, watching Netflix and putting together 3D puzzles. She is currently working towards becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.

Amanda

Technician

Amanda was born in Sheridan, Wyoming but has lived in Cheyenne most of her life. She married her high school sweetheart in 2011. She has four amazing fur babies named Medusa, Carnage, Ataya, and Daisy, along with two snakes (Pain and Panic.) Amanda has always had a passion for animals and plans to further her education in the Veterinary field by going to school to become a Veterinary Technician.

Bee

Technician

Bee was born in Sacramento, California and moved to Cheyenne when she was 8 years old. Animal welfare and canine behavior are her passions, and she can't think of anything she would rather do with her life than advocate for those that can't speak for themselves. She has a heinz 57 rescue dog named Cowboy and a rescue cat named Gadget. Her husband is "my ride or die" and keeps her sane through this thing called life.

Britt

Technician

Brittany was born and raised in Wyoming and moved to Cheyenne in the summer of 2011. She is going to school to become a Vet Tech and hopes to complete it in 2024. When she's not studying or working, she enjoys listening to music, reading, playing games with friends, and playing with her feathered baby, Artemis.

Jordan

Technician

Jordan was born and raised in Cheyenne. She enjoys spending time with her family and 4 dogs- Alex, Piper, Penny, and Jager. She has always had a love for animals since she was a kid. She is currently studying pre-vet at University of Wyoming and plans to further her education in the veterinary field after graduation. During her free time, Jordan is usually working with her horses, hanging out with friends, or going to concerts.

Brenda

Receptionist

Brenda has worked in the vet world a long time and is the resident Crazy Cat Lady, having been blessed by the cat distribution system 9 times. Sebastian, Kaos Von Floofenheim, Annie Oakley, Mayhem, Lieutenant Dan, Bubbles, Nimbus Noodle, Butters and Socks are all rescues living the good life. She has two dogs, Angus and Bojangles, and a ball python named Monty. The humans in her life include a husband, five adult kids and six grandkids. When she is not vacuuming up pet hair and glitter, she enjoys reading, sewing and writing fiction.

Kendra

Receptionist

Kendra was born in West Texas and moved to Cheyenne in early 2020 with her husband and their two sons. Her favorite activities are spending time with family, road trips to just about anywhere, supporting their boys in all of their many activities, and camping in the mountains. They have a pointer mix named Doc that they adopted soon after moving to Cheyenne.

Christine

Recptionist

Christine and her husband (Corey) live the slower country life on their little slice of heaven out west of town by Curt Gowdy State Park. Together they have 4 kids, 4 horses, 2 indoor cats, several ornery barn cats, 7 dogs, 8 chickens and all their kids' yearly 4H projects which have included: sheep, goats & steers. If Christine isn't at a football game, a soccer game, one of her kid's rodeos, or doing all the necessary chores, you can find her putting some extra training on her horses, fishing, hunting or simply enjoying some saddle time.

Chelsea

Resceptionist

Chelsea recently moved from Nebraska with her family. She has been in the veterinary field for 5 years and counting; either running doggie daycare, lodging, canine training or as a receptionist. She is passionate about the care for animals, and learning new techniques or information to improve their well-being. When she's not working, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies; going for walks, crafting, cooking or listening to music.

MaryAnne

Receptionist

MaryAnne grew up on a farm in Tillamook Oregon around all kinds of animals. This is where her love of animals began. She moved to Cheyenne almost 13 years ago. She has three german shepherds, a cheweenie, and two cats. She has three kids: two girls and a boy.

Tanya

Receptionist

Tanya recently moved from Pennsylvania to Cheyenne to be closer to family. She has been in the veterinary field for over 10 years. She has one cat named Louis. In her free time she likes to collect plants, go outside, play video games and go to concerts.

Brooke

Receptionist

Brooke is a born and raised Colorado native. Although she does miss Colorado's mountains, she loves what Wyoming has to offer. She has only been in the Veterinary field for 2 years; but she enjoys continuing her knowledge daily while being able to get patients the care they need. She is what you might call a "crazy plant lady" and loves her fur baby Jaxx just as much.

Rod

Kennel Technician

Rod moved to Wyoming from Duluth, Minnesota 28 years ago. He enjoys spending time with his grand daughter, family, and friends. Rod loves the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He enjoys making Native American crafts and walking sticks. He has three cats and two dogs that are spoiled rotten.

Jim

Kennel Technician

Jim is a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Wyoming Air National Guard where he served as an aircraft maintenance crew chief and later as the state equal employment manager for the Wyoming Military department. He enjoys reading about anything military and visiting aircraft museums. He also enjoys reading about early colonial American history. He and his wife, Jeanette, often attend performances at the Candlelight Dinner Theater in Johnstown, Colorado.
