Christopher A Church D.V.M. and Brooke
Dr. Church was a volunteer at the Cheyenne Pet Clinic prior to entering college. He is a University of Wyoming alumnus and he graduated with honors from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. He has been practicing at the Cheyenne Pet Clinic since 1995. He is a proud member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, University of Wyoming Alumni Association, and the Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association.
Brooke is originally from Florida, and moved to Cheyenne in 1995. She is a nurse and was a paratrooper in the United States Army. Chris and Brooke have owned Cheyenne Pet Clinic since 2010, and Brooke was the master mind behind their new hospital in 2015. They are proud supporters of the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Boys and Girls Club, and many other local organizations. They have four children: Joshua, and triplets Brenton, Jessica, and Coleden. They have 4 animals that are the same age and were acquired within 2 weeks of each other as babies. Gizmo and Simba, the cats, as well as Baloo, and Mowgi, the Pomeranian. They are proud to own a small business in Cheyenne!
Sarah Crystal D.V.M
Dr. Crystal was born in Washington D.C. but spent most of her adult life in Colorado. She received her B.A. from Colorado State University in 2001 and explored a few other careers before returning to Colorado State for her M.S. and DVM degrees. During her schooling she volunteered with the local animal shelter and with World Vets, an organization that provides veterinary services to disadvantaged countries. She graduated in 2015 and headed straight to Cheyenne Pet Clinic, where she has remained since.
Her professional interests include surgery and medicine, but her favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is helping the people who love their pets. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. Eventually she would like to volunteer overseas again.
Outside of work Dr. Crystal is a proud mother to one daughter, Ayla. They love to camp, ski, and travel together. Their only pet is a betta fish named Sven.
Kaytie Magrum D.V.M., CVMA
Dr. Magrum was born in Boise, Idaho but was raised in Casper, Wyoming. She knew from childhood that she wanted to be a veterinarian. After graduating as valedictorian in high school, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal and Veterinary Science as well as a music minor from the University of Wyoming. She then obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University. She has also completed the Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians courses (CVMA).
Dr. Magrum is very interested in preventative medicine, pain management, surgery, oncology, pet hospice care, and dermatology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wyoming Veterinary Medical association and the American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. Magrum has been rescuing animals since childhood. During veterinary school she was also very involved in a rescue run by veterinary students. They focused on saving dogs from euthanasia lists at high kill shelters across the country. She and her husband personally fostered dozens of these dogs until they found good homes, of which they are extremely proud. They continue to foster dogs to this day off of the kill lists.
Her husband, Ryan, is an arborist in town. They have a daughter (Raylen), three rescue dogs of their own (Shasta, Jaya, and Wesson), a salamander (Andromeda), and three rats (Maple, Olive, and Willow). When she is not working or spending time with her family, Dr. Magrum enjoys playing her cello, playing her guitar, bowling, gardening, reading and writing. She is happy to be home in Wyoming.
Rebecca Duden D.V.M.
Dr. Rebecca Duden spent most of her childhood living in Marietta, Georgia. She completed her undergraduate studies in animal science at Berry College. She then graduated with honors from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 3-years-old. Her main clinical interests include geriatric care, internal medicine, and preventive medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. Duden's husband, Chris, also graduated from Michigan State University in 2017 with his bachelor’s degree in history. He obtained his master’s degree in secondary education in 2020 and is now a social studies teacher. They have one daughter, Abigail, who has inherited her mother's love for cats. The Duden household is rounded off with a loveable, former-stray cat named Zak, a younger cat named Wicket that was rescued as a kitten by our veterinary technicians, and their newest feline addition George who was adopted from the animal shelter. In her free time, Dr. Duden enjoys relaxing with Chris and Abigail, napping, playing viola, and reading. She is happy to call Wyoming home and looks forward to meeting new clients & patients!
Leigh Farrell D.V.M.
Dr. Leigh Farrell grew up in Jackson, Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Zoology. She then graduated from Colorado State University with a doctorate in veterinary medicine in May 2017. Dr. Farrell's main veterinary interests include internal medicine, preventative medicine, and dermatology.
Dr. Farrell loves all outdoor activities including mountain biking, camping, skiing, and rafting. She enjoys life with her wonderful husband, Mick, and sweet dog, Kip.
Jayce Calhoon D.V.M.
Dr. Calhoon was born and raised in Oregon. After graduating from high school he received a swimming scholarship that brought him to the University of Wyoming where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Animal and Veterinary Science. While on the UW swimming and diving team he met his lovely wife Morgan and in 2012 they were fortunate enough to compete in the olympic trials together. Dr. Calhoon obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University.
Dr. Calhoon has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since he can remember and has special interests in surgery, preventative medicine, radiology, orthopedics and cardiology. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wyoming Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. Calhoon's wife, Morgan, also graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education. Morgan was a school teacher for three years before the Calhoon family welcomed their son, Nash, into the world. In his free time Dr. Calhoon enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, golfing or doing anything with his family. Their only pet is a cat named Luna. He is very excited to be back in Wyoming and can't wait to help those in need.
Nicole has been a Veterinary Technician for 21 years. She graduated from St Petersburg College in 2003 and is registered through the state of California. She has worked at Cheyenne Pet Clinic since 2008 when she moved from California with her two sons Jacob and Nickolas. They have two dogs: Ruger, a Puli mix and Doby, a terrier mix. They also have two cats: Obie Wan KitKitty and Manny Pacqmeow. Nicole is obsessed with running and her favorite is the half marathon. You can often find her hanging out with her family as well. She considers herself blessed to be doing a job that she truly loves and being a part of "such an awesome clinic".
Meagan grew up in the small Danish town Solvang, California. In 2011, she moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Bel–Rea Institute. She completed her internship at Cheyenne Pet Clinic and graduated with high honors as a Veterinary Technician in 2013. Upon graduation, she moved to Cheyenne to continue working for Cheyenne Pet Clinic. Meagan’s hobbies include gardening, running, baking, and anything to do with the great outdoors. However, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her wonderful husband, Dave, their adorable daughter, Charlee, and their four-legged fur-baby, Odin.
Sonia moved to Cheyenne in 1998. She was married in 2011 to Russell and they have 3 boys: Jordan, Casey, and Tristan. She has 3 dogs: Ewok, Sam, and Lucy. They also have a cat named Missy Mae. Her hobbies include cooking, yard work, and spending time with family.
Carly grew up in Laramie and received her Bachelor's degree in Zoology at the University of Wyoming. She has worked with animals, both domestic and wild, as long as she can remember, (and wouldn't have it any other way).
Carly moved to Cheyenne with her husband Zach, two heelers Bo and Jack, and Mordecai the fish. When she is not playing with the dogs, she enjoys all outdoor activities, especially horse back riding, hunting, and camping. Unless the Wyoming wind is howling, then she prefers some Netflix and just relaxing.
Ashley was born and raised in Cheyenne. She graduated with her Bachelor's mein Pre-Vet Medicine from the University of Wyoming in 2018. Ashley has 5 cats: Shadow, Skiddles, Puss and the babies, Panther and Pebbles. She loves playing games and hanging out with friends and family, watching Netflix and putting together 3D puzzles.
Kodi was born and raised in Cheyenne and had recently moved back from Colorado Springs. There, she obtain her Certification for Veterinary Assisting from Pima Medical Institute and then a Veterinary Technician Associates degree. Kodi graduated with honors and worked at an emergency center for pets for the past year and a half. She has one dog, Ryder, who she adopted from a rescue shelter in Colorado Springs. Kodi loves to hike, be outdoors, and spend time with friends and family.
Grace has lived in Cheyenne for 15 years and is currently pursuing her veterinary technician degree. She loves Jesus and her family including 3 fur babies: cats Tigger and Punkin and paint horse Dakota. Grece's hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, reading, and playing guitar.
Lyssa was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She graduated from South High School and is currently attending LCCC. She will graduate with her associate's degree in Zoology Sciences. Following that, she plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado to earn her bachelor's degree in Pre-health and Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry.
Lyssa has always loved and cared for animals and has known she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 7 years old. Alyssa enjoys spending time with her 5 dogs: a toy poodle named Tinkerbell, 2 pomeranians - Bandit and Jazmyn, a chihuahua named Daisy, and a Corgidor named Shadow.
KC stands for Kristine Cay. She has lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for 15 years and has been a member of our work family for 11 plus years. . She has a hardworking husband, 4 kids, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She loves to spend time with her kids and be outside. KC loves working at the clinic to educate clients with their pets.
Kelly was born and raised in Minnesota. She moved to Cheyenne in the fall of 1998. She met her now husband, Mark, on a blind date on Friday the 13th. They have been married since 2001 and have an amazing little boy, Wesley, who was adopted in 2010 from Russia. They have six dogs and their house is never quiet. Their lives are crazy at home and they are always up for an adventure.
Yulee grew up in Cheyenne and is now raising her wonderful family here. She is happily married and has two kids, and 7 fur babies: a lab/border collie mix, 3 boxers and 3 kitty cats. She is our resident boxer lady. Yulee was a medical administrator and a registered medical assistant before coming to the fury/scaly/feathery side of the medical field. She has always had the passion to help anyone who needs help, whether it be human or animal. When she is not working to make someone else’s life better, you can find her out and about with her dogs and family.
Liz was born and raised in Wheatland, Wyoming. She graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 2012, and continues her education at LCCC in the nursing field. In her spare time, she spends special moments with her 5 nephews and 1 niece. Liz enjoys camping at her family cabin, and playing volleyball at her church. She is the proud mom of fur babies Kenai, (a Husky), Copper (a Yellow Lab), Marley and Cinder (2 kitties).
Julia was born in Nebraska, but spent her entire life in Wyoming. She considers herself a true Wyomingite. She and her husband moved to Cheyenne in the summer of 2017 and they love living in the capital city. They have 2 kitties, Sam and Pippin, and 3 doggies, Camp, Leela, and Von. Julia hopes to further her career in the veterinary field by going back to scholl for her technician degree. She enjoys spoiling her fur babies, photography, writing and drawing.
Aspen was born and raised into the USAF and a California native. She attended Colorado State University for Pre-vet medicine and dual engineering. she moved to Cheyenne in fall of 2017 and plans on continuing her education in the near future.
Aspen has wanted to be a vet since she was four years old and had a passion for animals since birth. Currently she has two rescues running her house. Allie is a 6 year old Black Lab/German Shepherd and Sadie is a 3 year old Collie/Heeler mix. In her free time she likes to do things outdoors like camping, fishing, hiking, and going on motorcycle rides. she also love taking photos.
Kody was originally born in Cheyenne but later moved with her family to the small town of Rozet. She then attended the University of Wyoming where she received her Bachelor's in Zoology. After graduating she did a bit of traveling; doing various internships where she gained experience in Wildlife, Rehabilitation, Animal Husbandry and Wildlife Education. She recently decided to come back to Cheyenne to be closer to family and pursue her passion for animals here in Wyoming.
She has two pets, an Australian Shepherd mix named Tuffy and a Ball Python named Jayne, who she loves spending time with. Kody's other hobbies include reading, watching movies (or TV shows), language learning and Origami.
Bee was born in Sacramento, California and moved to Cheyenne when she was 8 years old. Animal welfare and canine behavior are her passions, and she can't think of anything she would rather do with her life than advocate for those that can't speak for themselves. She has a heinz 57 rescue dog named Cowboy and a rescue cat named Gadget. Her husband is "my ride or die" and keeps her sane through this thing called life.
Trina was born and raised in Cheyenne. She has had a passion for animals ever since she was a little girl. She brought home every stray in the neighborhood, much to her parents surprise. She was blessed to have owned a boarding and grooming facility for 17 years before joining the Cheyenne Pet Clinic. In her free time, she enjoys family, traveling, golf, and playing darts.
Brittany was born and raised in Wyoming and moved to Cheyenne in the summer of 2011. She is going to school to become a Vet Tech and hopes to complete it in 2021. When she's not studying or working, she enjoys listening to music, reading, playing games with friends, and playing with her feathered baby, Artemis.
Shelby was born and raised in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She moved to Cheyenne in December 2018. She have one son that is 6 years old and is her world. They have a Boston terrier named Dot, an iguana name Marvin, 2 geckos named Rocky and Rosey, and a shih tzu named Oreo.
Amanda was born in Sheridan, Wyoming but has lived in Cheyenne most of her life. She married her high school sweetheart in 2011. She has no kids but four amazing fur babies named Medusa, Carnage, Ataya, and Daisy, along with two snakes (Pain and Panic.) Amanda has always had a passion for animals and plans to further her education in the Veterinary field by going to school to become a Veterinary Technician.
Mandy was born in Omaha,NE and moved to Cheyenne in 2002. She attended high school at Cheyenne East High. She married her high school sweetheart in 2009. Her husband is retired Air Force. Once he retired they moved back to Cheyenne to be closer to family. As they have no children (yet) they do have two fur babies that keep them on their toes! Ridgeback/Lab mix Coby and Lab mix Gracie-Grace! Mandy has always had a love for animals and feels she has to advocate for those who can’t speak for themselves.
Rod moved to Wyoming from Duluth, Minnesota 28 years ago. He enjoys spending time with his grand daughter, family, and friends. Rod loves the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping. He enjoys making Native American crafts and walking sticks. He has three cats and two dogs that are spoiled rotten.
Jim is a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Wyoming Air National Guard where he served as an aircraft maintenance crew chief and later as the state equal employment manager for the Wyoming Military department. He enjoys reading about anything military and visiting aircraft museums. He also enjoys reading about early colonial American history. He and his wife, Jeanette, pamper their rescue tripod dog, Carly, and often attend perfomances at the Candlelight Dinner Theater in Johnstown, Colorado.
